Yippee Zippeedee!

Yippee Zippeedee!
Congrats to Fogged’s #1 son on his new job. It is good to see another of the kids doing good.
Way to go to Peachy Keen on the tu tu. Cute as a button and spoken only as a mother can.
If you haven’t kept an eye on mandapooh please do. Her creative streak is showing. If only I knew how to market it.
Once again I have ventured into the world of the painter. I have an opportunity to put together a couple of paint crews and paint apartments in Hoover. We started Tuesday with a crew from Clanton. The crew leader promised me he could paint 4 or 5 units a day. Two days and 4 units later he was complaining that they couldn’t make money at that rate and needed to bump their price 220%. Let me think about that…no. They walked and now I am looking for replacements. I hope to be back in business by Monday. I don’t know that this is the new career, but it is an income with inside work with winter coming on. We’ll see. I am so used to working people I know and trust it is hard to make the transition to working strangers and holding them accountable to do their jobs. If any of you know good painters in the Hoover area give me a call. I have plenty of work to keep them employed.
The painters have had me getting up at 5:15 in the morning. I am done for today. I get to sleep in until 6:30 in the morning. Be blessed all.
Westy over and out

O.K., my turn.
What has happened to us? Fogged Occurance has not commented since he got back from his road trip! I have not had anything to say since before Labor Day! Manda Pooh has at least had an occasional thought and Peachy Keen has regularly continued to give us something to look at even if it the same old baby every day! (no offense).
I find that I must break forth into prose and end this long break. Here ‘tis.
What ever has been afoot? Seems pretty simple day to day but if you look back at it, there has been a lot going on.
I continue to be ungainfully unemployed. I don’t really know what I want to be when I grow up so I use that as my justification for not having done much to change my position. I have taken online courses and am now a certified, background checked signing Notary. I continue to get one or two real estate closings each week which makes me think there is a future for this down the road, but in the mean time it just makes me think there is a future for this down the road. I have been foolishly happy thinking that this is just going to fix itself and going from day to day like I had money. Today I decided that I need to find something to bring in some money. I have joked about it, but I may end up saying “welcome to Wal-Mart” or “will there be fries with that sir?” in the near future. I would rather do that, even late at night than not do anything and get in a position where I get panicy (that must not be a word, spell check can’t decide what it should be).
I have made a trip to the VA hospital in Tuskeegee and turned my medical life over to the VA. As a service connected 100% disabled veteran they will take care of me if I am willing to wait in line. It is preferable to paying $850 a month for Blue Cross ( and they probably wouldn’t underwrite me anyway). Don’t get me started on Blue Cross. I still have to come up with something for Andrea.
Today was a miracle day! I have been scheduled for a sales tax audit by the state on my company that doesn’t exist any more on Thursday. (tomorrow) This morning they changed their mind and told me not to show up. That may not seem like much to some of you, but I assure you it was a big thing to me. I had brought all of the files from Dixie to the house and it took two pick-up loads and I have not got them in any kind of order yet.
It’s a fertile world! We have been watching Tucker Elise for the past several months, now we watch Carly Elise. I took mother by yesterday to see the new great-granddaughter. A fun time was had by all. Brittany and Scott were both asleep so sister Sheri got to do the honors. She and Re were appropriately GRAND.
Follow Mandy on her blog. Robby and family are good. Keelin is wonderful as always. She and I got to walk the block this afternoon after school. That is an advantage to being a stay-at-home granddad. I get to pick her up and play with her until Mommy comes to get her.
Alright, I have broken the drought. Someone else take a turn. How ‘bout it Fogged?
