just a comment

This memories thread we are on brings to light several things. One, our kids think we are funny. Two, we are spread out over enough years that a couple of us had to wait until some of us were out of the house to even have memories. They fill a gap that I don’t remember a lot of because I wasn’t there.
Let’s try to get Sheri and Rob involved in this writing. I would like to hear some of the things they remember and hear from that angle. Anything you think is worth review by the participants throw out there. We have concentrated on Dad, but let’s expand to Mom and each other.
These musings are much more interesting when you read the comments that are associated with each. Is there a way to print them that would include the comments?
Westy, over and out.

You'll have to wait until at least the first of March (post Blast) to get anything from Mama. :-) ha!

Mama and I actually were discussing how the age variance between you guys affects memories and the "type" of friends you all are. (This was in a discussion explaining why and when I should have a second child. haha!) She was saying that say RAY and Mama are different kind of friends than Say ROB and Mama because they experience their history and world at different times. That what parts of history Ray experienced as an adult were seen VERY differently than how Mama experienced them as a child. And that the same was true for she and Nan. Not that you weren't all close, but close in different ways. It was interesting - and sort of seconded in this blog. :-)

Loving all the memories!

Leslie,
That cracked me up.
"That what parts of history Ray experienced as an adult were seen VERY differently than how Mama experienced them as a child."
Your Mama's only 4 years younger than Unc. As the elder he did forge into the world before us but as for Ray's being an Adult while Sis was a child........
